"I did get your CD yesterday and
listened to it twice! It made me laugh a number of times
(I was charmed by it -- and I, too, sensed your heart in the midst
of all the laughter -- and I deeply appreciated that)"
- J.
Jackson (Apologetix - that Christian parody band)
- "'A Time To Laugh' is a hit with my
whole family! Nick Alexander has put a respectful and
refreshing touch of humor into Catholic ministry."
- Jim
Cosgrove (Troubadour For The Lord)
- "I put [your CD] on in the office and we all
thoroughly enjoyed it."
- Phil Perkins
(Producer)
- "Last week some friends helped me move boxes to
my new place (they are from RCIA) and I ordered pizzas and we listened to
your CD. We had a ball and some much - needed laughter.
Thanks for your wonderfully unique, humorous and
yes...challenging, astute ministry."
-
Shellie Jacobs (Musician)
- "I usually preview music before it goes on air, but
after a quick look of the lyrics, decided to go ahead and broadcast it.
Actually, it helped me not to have listened ahead of time since I could
somewhat gage how the listeners might respond. One listener called
immediately and wanted to get a copy for her religious Ed class.
I
really laughed with the 'Give Me that Old Gregorian Chant',
'Repent' and the 'I Got You Saved.' The voice
impersonations were really well done, especially on that song.
" - Teri Seipel (Catholic Radio
Broadcaster)
- "I was on the floor laughing!
The fact that you successfully met [the] challenge to use the word
'Transubstantiation' cracks me up!"
- Mike Harrison (Worship Leader)
- "I heard your RCIA parody on the Internet radio
service today and almost got myself fired from laughing so
hard. Keep up the good work. It's about time we Catholics learned
to smile a little more."
-
Shawn Garry
- "Got your new CD yesterday - what a hoot! My
faves were 'Repent' and 'I Got You Saved.' There were
some good messages in that album too, especially the
tithing song. Good job!!"
- Susan Bailey (Catholic
Musician)
- "We really had a great day yesterday making a
pilgrimage to a local Cathedral while listening to your CD!! It
made the drive fun which is usually the least enjoyable part of a
pilgrimage."
- Nicholas Oremus
- "I interned at Vatican Radio this summer and
heard your CD there. It was hilarious! We can definitely
give it serious airplay. Thanks!
P.S. My favorite song is
'Tradition (500 Years)' ! - Kara Coulter ( Station Manager - WFRScc -
Franciscan University of Steubenville )
- "My top two favorites (although they're all
great) are 'Old Time Gregorian Chant' and
'R.C.I.A.'. Everyone at 1160 WYNS loved them!
"I took the CD
to our Renew 2000 meeting at our church last Tuesday evening. I told our
Pastor I had a new theme song for our Deacon (he coordinates the RCIA
program). Then I put the song on. At first they thought it was "YMCA",
then they started to pay attention to the words. They almost fell
off their chairs, they enjoyed the song that much!" - Jim Logue ( Station Manager - WYNS )
