What I’ve Learned From You

Hello all,

Building A Video Studio

A couple of weeks ago, I had asked you to fill out a quick survey; I am in the process of setting up a dedicated video area that would allow me to craft more videos on a consistent basis.

Because of this new venture into social media, I wanted to make sure I would be creating videos that would appeal directly to the needs of my base. I wanted to know what was your greatest concerns.

Results of the Latest Survey

As usual, when I ask my friends here what they most want to see from me, the results almost always surprise me.

There were three results that got over 50% of interest, and a fourth that hovered just below that marker. These were the following:

  1. How To Foster Personal Holiness in Today’s Climate (59.76%)
  2. Videos of Parody Songs – both current and older (56.10%)
  3. How to Foster Renewal in Your Parish (52.44%)
  4. Mastering Social media for Evangelism and Impact (48.78%)

In other words, the biggest concerns for us are how to make time to grow in our spiritual journeys, amidst the craziness of our current lives. Oftentimes our days are filled with urgent matters, and our time to keep our fires of faith alive oftentimes get smothered. How can we do this?

It pleases me that many of you still enjoy my parody songs, so I will still craft some new ones.

Many are seeing that our parishes are skewering older, and have not spearheaded a campaign to draw people back to the faith. I have ideas that can help spearhead a new approach to renewal, using the tools that are around us today. Among these tools is social media.

Your Deepest Concerns

Furthermore, the follow-up question was even more enlightening, as I had insight as to where your frustrations lie, and where I can help. Examples include:

Anything that can keep people–young, old, middle-aged, retired–not only coming to Church but growing in their relationship with Christ and growing as intentional disciples.

Bringing joy to a world that doesn’t have much if any

Greatest struggle these days is maintaining the gift of Faith in an extremely anti-Catholic/Anti-Christian environment. Your talents can help best by keeping our focus to celebrate, maintain– and laugh

Helping my children in remaining holy.

Helping the congregation understand the importance of living their faith! People are overwhelmed with work, school, kids etc… We need renewal in devotion to God!

Keeping an active faith life in a busy, busy family.

This process was very enlightening and encouraging for me. My mind is racing with ideas as to how to bring shareable content that will serve your needs.

Final Comments

Now, for those who really resonated in an area that was not as highly polled; I promise to not leave you behind. I am in the process of figuring out how to delegate these issues, as every item listed in the survey is important to me.

I just want to affirm to you that your issues are very important to me too.

In the meantime, know that I am listening and am open to any further comments and issues. Your collective insight has lit a fire in me, and I want to help provide practical helps to assist us in our journeys to Christ.

Thank you.

P.S. Congratulations to Chuck Kamas and Leonard Estrada for winning my stuff. You will be getting a nice package shortly.
